Lettings Manager - Highgate

Competitive base salary of £30,000- £40,000 dependent on experience

OTE £70,000 - £80,000. An exciting commission scheme, car allowance, and profit related bonus.



Our client is searching for a Lettings Manager to take over the reins at this successful office in a desirable area of North London. Helping to continue to build and develop their residential lettings business across Hampstead and surrounding areas. This is a unique opportunity to work across a large patch with some of the most desirable properties in North London.

This role requires high energy and a willingness to get stuck in whenever necessary with a varied workload in a busy office. Often there will be time pressures and short notice requests so the Lettings Manager should thrive under this pressure.



Key objectives of this role are to:

Generate and drive new business activity to win new landlords and property portfolios, bringing them to the market efficiently by building and maintaining excellent client relationships.

Drive all lettings negotiations to ensure that you successfully let the required number of properties to enable yourself and the department to achieve the annual plan. This is a position with a proven track record of success, so we are looking for someone to bring their experience and motivation to build on this in 2021 and beyond.



Day to day you can expect to:



  • Attend valuations and negotiate prices with landlords to achieve a larger property portfolio


  • Actively working to gain new stock and landlords


  • Provide weekly marketing and property performance feedback to clients


  • Working with the directors to build the personnel in the lettings department and working alongside the Property Manager


  • Produce and regularly update market appraisal reports recording your performance


  • Build and expand the lettings business and to be aware of future opportunities that will enable the office to continue to expand


  • Think about and develop PR and marketing opportunities where possible


  • Cross sell/refer across the business


  • Update the team on current trends you’re finding on pitching and all new pitches coming to the market


  • Keep abreast of relevant Housing legislation, National issues and to attend appropriate training


  • Working with the directors to ensure full compliance across all aspects of the lettings business, including the various ‘Codes of Conduct’ of the national bodies the Department is a member of such as ARLA and RICs.


We are looking for someone with the following experience:

You will be a highly accomplished Assistant manager/manager with a track record of achieving targets and also have experience of pitching and negotiating terms of business with clients. You will need to be comfortable with spending considerable amounts of time on the telephone.

Crucially we need someone that is energetic and hard working. Willing and able to handle a varied workload, which will often change at short notice. With good IT and organisation skills. Excellent customer service, attitude, and a willingness to go on the extra mile to help the team succeed.

Full driving licence is essential for this role, and it would be a bonus if you have an industry recognised qualification such as NFOPP.
