SEO Manager - Digital marketing agency experience.

Salary: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year



Our Client is a rapidly growing Digital Marketing agency, who specialises in SEO, PPC and Digital PR and due to multiple new SEO client wins, a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced SEO manager. This position is fast paced and very hands on, you will be managing clients alongside the Head of SEO

We are looking for an individual that is both dedicated and determined in their career with a passion for this industry and focussed on progressing quickly with this growing, innovative company. Ideally you will live close to their Cheltenham office, but we will consider a remote candidate which depends completely on your experience.

Responsibilities will include:



  • Conducting keyword research


  • SEO auditing and technical analysis


  • Conducting broad SEO analysis to define the cause and resolution of SEO issues


  • Using ethical SEO knowledge and techniques to meet the organic objectives of our clients


  • Helping the Head of SEO and sales team to win new business


  • Planning SEO campaigns including organising link building, research and data gathering


  • Monthly strategic reporting


  • Day to day account management


  • Providing support and assistance to junior SEO team members


Knowledge and Experience:



  • Strong Technical SEO knowledge


  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a SEO focused role (experience in other disciplines is an excellent bonus, but SEO should make up the bulk of your experience)


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Knowledge and experience with HTML and CSS


  • Excellent Microsoft office skills, with emphasis on Excel & PowerPoint


  • Intermediate/ advanced experience working with SEO tools like Screaming Frog, AHREFS and SEMRush


  • Knowledge and experience with popular content management systems and ecommerce platforms like WordPress, Magento, Shopify and WooCommerce


  • Experience working with web analytics packages; Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools etc. GAIQ qualified


  • A broad understanding of the wider digital marketing mix, for example PPC and social media


  • Account Management experience


  • Agency experience

  • Must have the ability to work well independently and part of a team
