Maintenance Manager – Stevenage

£20,000 - £23,000

Working Hours 9am -6pm every other Saturday 9am -3pm with time off in lieu 

Our client has been letting and managing rental properties in Hertfordshire for xx. They are looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager to join our busy property management department. 

Reporting to the Directors, this role is responsible for achieving the efficient and cost effective management of planned and reactive maintenance work on their portfolio of managed properties.

Duties include (but is not limited to):-

• 
  Organising maintenance operatives work load to ensure works are carried out within appropriate timescales.


• 
  Ensuring assigned personnel are qualified to perform tasks assigned to them.


• 
  Closing down completed jobs on the system, apply costings and invoicing our clients.


• 
  Planning and prioritising reactive and planned maintenance works to our portfolio of properties.


• 
  Obtaining satisfactory cost estimates from potential contractors.


• 
  Liaising with external contractors and support staff to ensure works are carried out.


• 
  Maintaining regular contact with tenants or support providers in relation to progress.


• 
  Ensuring that accurate and complete maintenance data is recorded and reported to the Directors.

Keys Skills:-

• 
  Previous experience in a similar role


• 
  Using the Jupix software to report monitor and follow up all maintenance issues 


• 
  Highly numerate, literate and articulate with a calm methodical and organised approach.


• 
  Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize work.


• 
  Strong communication skills and the ability to dialogue effectively with tradesmen, labourers and builders.


• 
  Ambitious, with the ability to see problems through to successful completion.
